Submissions for Database Inclusion & Future Publications
Call for Authors:
Looking for credentialed art therapists to write comprehensive case studies for a new textbook entitled, Art Therapy throughout the Lifespan and accompanying website.
Who:
All credentialed art therapists who have practiced five years beyond graduation are welcome to submit case studies formatted with the template below.
What:
Case studies are being collected for clients across the lifespan to illustrate the efficacy of art therapy for each age range in a variety of settings and venues. Up to 10 case studies for each age range will be published in the text. All case studies submitted and edited will be included in the website database as a resource for art therapists and art therapy students. Each author is eligible to submit up to 3 case studies for this original call. Continuing Education Credits: Each author will be eligible for 20 CEUs toward ATCB recertification.

When:
Rolling deadline - Case studies are being accepted on a regular basis. Submitted case studies will be reviewed on the 5th of each month and feedback will be
provided by the first of the next month. After receiving feedback, authors will have up to 1 month to submit revisions.
Late submissions are welcome but will only be considered for the website.
Why:
Art Therapy throughout the Lifespan is being developed to address the lack of a comprehensive text for training that covers the span of art therapy and human development.

Required Template for Case Study Reports

Case studies should be authored by seasoned, credentialed (ATR, ATR-BC…) art therapists with a minimum of 3 years experience post-matriculation.
Note: Case studies can be actual case-studies or composite case studies based directly upon your experience with the population and reason for art therapy. If the case study is a direct representation of a specific client and/or family, the author (you) is responsible for obtaining, storing, and submitting informed consent.
Note: Each case study should be no longer than 7-10 pages
Note: Each case study can include up to 3 images (it does not have to include any)
Note: Each author can submit multiple case studies for consideration
Note: This template will be used to provide a consistent format for all case studies included in the textbook and website.
